How will the Forum operate?

Meetings of the Better Bath Forum will be announced in advance and will be open to the public. Anyone can attend. Each meeting will deal with a separate subject, and will be chaired by a different person.

The subject will be introduced by a proponent familiar with the issues, and there will then be one or two contrasting presentations. The bulk of the time will be taken up with comments and debate from the general participants. Anyone can speak, but we will give priority to those who notify us beforehand. At the end of the discussion, the Chairman will draw conclusions, which will be posted on the Forum website.

The original proponent will be asked to respond to the Forum conclusions within one month. Anyone who is interested will be able to comment on these conclusions. All these contributions: the Forum conclusions, the proponent’s response, and general comments, will be publicly available on the website.

The Forum is a mechanism for holding discussions, which anyone can use – Council, businesses, residents, non-governmental organisations etc. It is entirely non-political, and it will not become a new lobbying organisation.
